Who can join free2go
free2go membership is open to all Queensland residents aged 16 to 19. You can join at any stage and can access a range of benefits, including 24-hour roadside assistance.
- If you are currently in Year 11 or Year 12 (or aged 16-17) you can join free2go for FREE, which includes 12 months of RACQ personal roadside assistance.
- If you are 18 or 19 years old you can join free2go for half price, which includes RACQ roadside assistance in a nominated vehicle.
But free2go offers so much more than just roadside assistance! Even if you dont yet own a car, or have your licence, there are plenty of benefits.

Join at any RACQ branch
You will need to bring your School ID, proof of enrolment or proof of age (drivers licence, passport or 18+ card) to the branch with you.
To save time, you can print and fill out the form (below) to take with you to the RACQ branch.

- Remember to bring your School ID, proof of enrolment or proof of age ID (drivers licence, passport or 18+ card)
- Once you join, we will send out a free2go welcome pack with your free2go membership card and youre on your way!
Join At School Visits and Events
The free2go team visits secondary schools throughout Queensland, and you can join when they come to your school.
To request a visit, speak with your teacher and ask them to contact the RACQ free2go coordinator direct on 1800 150 519.
The free2go team will also be at several events throughout the year, including career expos and Schoolies, so keep an eye out for us!
Conditions:
- To join RACQ free2go you must be a permanent Queensland resident. Membership is not available to exchange students on temporary visas or mature-age students.
- Proof of age is required. You must be aged 16 or 17, or be a continuing Year 11 or 12 student to access free membership. You must be aged 18 or 19 to access half price membership.
